I just bought a Military History mag with an article about the tank battle on the Golan Heights, I'm looking forward to reading it.

Is the article about the fighting on the Golan overall, or about a specific place. The one that comes to mind is what's known as the "Valley of Tears". I was just there two weeks ago.

It seems that all the Egyptian members of this thread are suspended. I do not see any good reason for that. It is becoming boring to listen only to one side.
I hope the administrators may tell us the reasons for this suspension. Is it because of the 60th year celebration of Israel Independence???

I'll let you know, but the title is something like, How did 50 tanks fend off 400?

I hope it does a decent job of covering the tank recovery teams, from what I've read some tanks were knocked out two or three times and most were put back into action with in 24 hours.

And no they were not serious debaters but propaganda mouthpieces.
If you havent noticed a number of rather serious posters (and one of them cannot be called a pro-israeli) here with far more credible sources debunked everything that these two Egyptians said.

The question is what is your problem? my guess would be that those two Egyptians said what you wanted to hear, that you have no interest in the real picture.

It is not a soccer game to check who is winning. It is the truth that we are seeking. The egyptians proved that YK war was an egyptian victory. In contrast to what Mr flint is shouting of , many of the posters here & even some israeilians have agreed about this. when I started reading this thread it was full of crap about israel victory & bela bla... After the egyptians contribution, I realized how far from reality is the image that was spread by guys like Mr flint. So thanks to them & to these who are introducing the truth only & premoting the legacies.
