Further to my last post here are more photos of IDF vehicles on the road leading up to the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur war.
Here is some photos of damaged Israeli and Syrian tanks. The Israeli Centurion "Shot" transported down the highway to a repair depot. The Syrians left to lay in the field until collection by the IDF for repair.The war still raging on and the air force taking the upper hand.

No, The Suez canal pics were taken by a good friend of mine who was a couple years older and already in the Army. Civilians were not crossing to the other side of the canal although they were touring down in the Sinai shortly after the war. The T-54 and OT-62 "Topas" were taken near the sweet water canal to the west of the Suez canal. The SA-2 and radar sites were also on the west side of the canal. My photos were taken in the North of Israel and Golan.
