I liked it. I had always wondered about re-enactment.
I am not sure of how they establish when one is hit or not. Anyone knows how it works?

probably just like when you played ''war'' as a kid...

I saw a documentary about re-enacting in the woods of Pennsylvania... i didn't like it one bit... there were some REALLY creepy figures on the Axis side.. they even brought a former-SS Officer over to ''inspect'' the ''troops'' ......... it was very creepy... but im quite sure that there are normal ''re-enactors'' out there.

The 12SS ones are pretty realistic looking. They must have used an old camera.

There was another video that had a big fight goin on but you couldnt see much but the constant firing in the backround made it sound pretty intense.

    So expensive lol.

A Corporal at my unit does reenacting for a german unit, he showed us his old antique gear he bought, every piece was so damn expensive, but was so beautiful. He goes all over the country to reenact with his unit.

Too right, this sort of thing is good for historical teaching, but these people take it way too far, learning the SS songs etc. Creepy and let's face it, a little sad.

lol check out the video, "Bang! I got you!" "Nuh uh, it's only a flesh wound!"

What are you guys afraid of? They just portray troops in combat and not the political side of the war. If you've actually been to one then we'd consider your viewpoint, but if it breaks your heart and makes you wring your hands then I wouldn't recommend it. I used to go to some of these battles and I never saw any brainwashing, goosestepping or Sieg heils. A lot of them are ex-military/military, law enforcement, etc. and they'd get very offended if you called them nazis, besides, you might enjoy it too.
