    Default Tanya Savicheva diary from blockade Leningrad

    Everibody knows about A. Frank diary but I think not many of you know about this diary.
    This is photos from Tanya Savicheva diary she was in Leningrad on WWII during blockade.

    Only nine pages


    Here is the translation
    page1 - Jenya died at dec 28 1941 at 12 in the morning
    page2 - Grandma died at jan 25 1942 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon
    page3 - Leka died at march 17 1942 5 o'clock in the morning
    page4 - uncle Vasya died on april 13 1942 at 2 o'clock in the morning
    page5 - uncle Lecha died at may 10 1942 at 4 o'clock afternoon
    page6 - Mom died at may 13 at 7:30 in the morning 1942
    page7 - All Savichevi dead
    page8 - They are all dead
    page9 - Only Tanya left

    Tanya has been evacuated to Gorkiy on summer 1942 and died in 1944 in Gorkiy hospital from illnesses related to the blockade

    Terrible.

    Words can't describe the thoughts that must have been with those people.

    It's good that through technology we have a better understanding of our history. Without pictures like these it would be easy to shrug off the past.
