Those are frickin sweet. They are old though as it is no longer the Ottawa Carelton Police Service but just the Ottawa Police Service as all of the surrounding areas (Gloucester, Nepean and all those little OPP detachments in Osgoode, CUmberland, Navan) Have all amalgamated into on super force!! Dun dun dun dunnnnnnn.
Just curious though.. Where did you get these pics from?
Is that Emersons security detail?

good luck because the Ottawa police force does not take many recruits
every years sometimes they take none...but maybe whit all the baby boomers leaving they will have some holes to fill
Out of roughly 1000 applicants they will accept 30. Those are numbers given to me by some of my instructors.Originally Posted by Ericsson
I would like to go to Ottawa but I am thinking of applying to RCMP now and maybe being in this time next year, and in the future maybe apply for Ottawa when I have some experience under my belt. If not, the army is still where I would like to go after college.
the decision is up to you but the RCMP is a good choice
and then you can transfer later on to the Ottawa police department
I know one guy from Montreal he got in the RCMP, after 1 year
he transfers to the Toronto police department. but when you do that it's not a done dea,l there's still lots of paper work and interview before you make the switch.
the army is OK for 3 years it's good to have that on your C.V but man !!!
there's so many lifers in there you will get sick to your stomach after 3 years and you will want to move on to something else..let's just face it the Canadian army is not the french foreigh legion but it's still a good organization and the pay is OKAY..spatially on tours.
good luck
