Actually I didn't mind kraf001's comments at all. I found some points very interesting. If you want to keep on with the women MakeWar, just skip over the posts, or go to the babes thread. It's not like there was an argument or anything. I would understand your complaint though if it gets to that point.

true in some way... but to be exact:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury

Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara in Stone Town, Zanzibar to Indian (Parsi) parents, Bomi and Jer Bulsara (see [1]).A Parsi is a member of the close-knit Zoroastrian community in or from the Indian subcontinent, and is a descendant of people who, in the 8th century, emigrated to the west coast of India from Persia to escape religious persecution after the Islamic conquest. His parents practiced the ancient Persian religion, Zoroastrianism. The family had emigrated to Zanzibar in order for Bomi to continue his job as a middle-ranking cashier at the British Colonial Office. Mercury also had one sister, Kashmira. He was educated at St. Peter's boarding school in Panchgani (Satara) near Bombay (now Mumbai) in India, where he gave his first onstage performances in a five-member school band called The Hectics. It was also at St. Peter's where he was given the name Freddie. He completed his education in India at St. Mary's High School in Mazagon, Mumbai and was 17 when he and his family fled to England as a result of a 1964 revolution in Zanzibar. In England, he pursued a Diploma in Art and Graphic Design at Ealing Art College, following in the footsteps of Pete Townshend. He later used these skills in order to design the famous Queen crest.

Mercury, who died in 1991, was proud of his Iranian ancestry, and illegal bootleg albums and singles made Queen one of the most popular bands in Iran.

I am glad they have found happiness and success by emigrating elsewhere.

Also, Romana is Canadian not Iranian.

I think her banner she is wearing indicates that. I find it humourous you declare refugees to still be Iranian.

well this is not a thread about their status of citizenship... I never declared her Iranian as a citizen of country called "Iran"... she is an Iranian-Assyrian by race... unless they change immigrants’ genes in Canada I fail to see your point? I did say she was miss Canada, didn't I?

The thread is titled Iranian celebrities.

Romana is a Canadian by choice, as that is where her home is.

I am also a Canadian, but I have British, Irish and Scottish genetics, what does that make me? Still Canadian as that is where I call my home.

I find it ironic that most of the celebrities you posted pictures of would most likely be murdered or stoned if they ever chose to return to Iran, as so many women are.

I never claimed these ppl are living in Iran or have Iranian passport... you are making this too complicated!

nobody is claiming otherwise... but if you actually read her view on this, she loves Iran too... I just don't how is this related to this topic though?!

again so what? are you claiming that you don't say you are British, Irish or Scottish when someone asks about your roots?.. sorry but again I fail to see where you are getting with this!! Canada, New Zealand, America, etc are filled with immigrants you are suggesting all the Chinese, Indian, European, etc in these countries should deny their original heritage?

well I already addressed this issue if you cared to read... at one point in your life you might want to reconsider the extend of your hatred and see things logically...

Nicole Kidman was born in Australia and still resides there, your arguement doesn't fit.

When someone asks me my background I say Canadian, as I was born in Canada and so were my parents, if anything I will state where my grandparents are from.

I did read what you wrote earlier and I disagree with you, it's called democracy, something the celebrities living outside of Iran get the priveledge to experience.

Hatred is one thing I do not suffer from. Disgust would be my choice.

again I never said that if someone asks Romana about her country she is gonna talk about Iran.. but when asked about her roots, she will tell them about her true heritage...

I don't know about you but I never met a “normal” woman who considered posing half ***** for cameras in exchange of money a freedom! it is called a job... I am sure if they could have reached the same level of popularity without nudity they wouldn't have done it.. your argument is very valid about women living in Taliban's Afghanistan or Saudi women... Niki Karimi declined offers from Hollywood so did other Iranian actors and accesses even world famous Iranian directors like Kimiaei refused to be part of this privilege you talk about…

if it was anything but hatred boosted ignorance you wouldn't have acted like stoning women is a hip, mainstream thing.. considering it was officially omitted from state law back in mid 1990s... not saying Iran is the heaven on earth but it is a lot better than what you picture it to be..
