Joking aside, what's the law in the US? Can Cheney be tried for manslaughter if he dies or is he immune?

that said, odds are cheney would have to be charged with manslaughter in a local court. bush would have to claim some sort of executive immunity to lawsuit while in office to get cheney out of it. problem with that scenario is that clinton tried it with the lewinsky scandal and it didn't work, so cheney would have a hard time claming it now.
