Unfortunately, they're not mine. So sad!

( My Waffen SS items are limited to a Wiking cufftitle and a belt buckle)

    Yeah.
The belt buckle was given to me by a German friend.
I bought the cufftitle about 11 years ago. There's no way I could afford one at today's prices.

Yeah I'd say, prices are insane. That Wiking one is a keeper though, $3K easy.

You can get a used car for that.
My award-dealer has always some pretty rare stuff but a Ritterkreuz will cost you 7000€ and a Deutsches Kreuz in Gold about 1500€.
Thats just crazy, but you can get there Infantry-assault badges pretty cheap.

Infantry Assault Badges have increased a lot in price in the US, too. When I started collecting, they went for about $45. Now, you're lucky to find one for less than $150. Iron Crosses, both 1st and 2nd Class, have skyrocketed too.

^ Cool. I've got each of those in my collection. What I really want is the Cholm Shield, which is unfortunately, the rarest and most expensive.

About ten years ago, I turned down a Balkan shield that was being offered at a rediculously low price, because I thought it was a fake. I found out later that I was wrong, after someone else grabbed it. Too bad.
