On his way to the French Bitche training area, Polish Brigadier General Andrej Lelewski on February 22nd made a short stop in Strasbourg to visit the Eurocorps Rear Support Command Post. The latter is deployed there in the frame of the NRF preparation exercise Brilliant Ledger. General Lelewski was welcomed by Brigadier General André Baudoin, the Chief of Staff of this command post. General Lelewski is the Deputy Commander of the NATO Deployable Corps Greece, one of the lower readiness forces headquarters. He attends the visitors day of Brilliant Ledger in Bitche Camp on February 23rd.
BITCHE (France), February 23rd. A token of the interest shown in the preparation of the NRF mission, the exercise Brilliant Ledger attracted many VIPs. After the media day of 14th February and the visit of Prince Philippe of Belgium on the 21st, Lieutenant General Py and Major General Trull, as well as students of the Belgian Royal Defence College came to seek information on the exercise on 22nd February. Finally, on 23rd February, numerous high-ranking military authorities from various international organizations were invited to a presentation of the exercise Brilliant Ledger.

The Prince was accompanied by the Minister of Defense M. André Flahaut, the vice-Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Jean-Marie Jockin and a delegation. He was received and welcomed by Lieutenant General Charles-Henri Delcour, Commander Eurocorps and officer conducting the exercise. After a short presentation of NRF 7 and of the exercise, he visited different Command Posts. One of them was the CP of the 3rd Para Battalion (Tielen, Belgium), the unit in which He was Platoon Commander in 1983.
