Default The Newbies - Save your money thread

    Ladies,Gents,

This thread should be for peeps, who are looking for a loadout. Its more geared towards people starting off in airsoft.People should post what they might need , and what budget they have to roll for it.Like how many mags, what other things they plan on carrying with them.Like PMR's,water,bb bottles/nades etc.
Lets help a kid or adult for that matter save a buck.
PLease dont come along with, I want a Special forces/USMC/Para outfit, tell me what I need. There is more than enough sites to look and find that out.
At the same time, be realistic. You will not likely get a loadout for 10$,that carries 10 mags, a hydro carrier , a pmr etc... without having committed a crime to get it.

The first invesment is always good eye protection.
I also beg every noob to carry a FAK ( first aid kit) with them. You never know when you and your trusty first aid class might help.

Here is a example of a request

Hi Im Johniffer. I am gonna play airsoft, and Im looking to pick up a AR type AEG.I wanna carry about 6-10 mags, a canteen or two and a PMR.I have about XX$ to spend.

Here is a good loadout for a n00b player that will be good:

    GUN:
    AEGS:

    Tokyo Marui MP7
    Tokyo Marui MP5K
Tokyo Marui FAMAS F1 or G2
    Tokyo Marui M16A1

    Tokyo Marui G18C AEP

    Tokyo Marui SOCOM Full Set

    GEAR:
    Clothes:
Well get any that are comfortable to you
    Gear:
Guarder M.O.D. Interceptor or FSBE [M.O.D. and M.O.D. II]

Wow A-dawg, that's a very expensive newb starter list...

here's one from a not-so-wealthy airsofter, aka myself.:

    AEG:
TM M4 or Classic Army m15A4 (non RIS)
    GBB:
    KWA Glock 19
    KWA M9

    Vest:
Cheaper Than Dirt Anything or Tacforce vests

A noob player should never spend more than 400$ on his gun, and never more than 100$ on his gear.

    For a starter M4 or M16

I believe that the SRC's internals are a lot better then the TM.. the TM guns do not come with a reenforced gearbox or Steel bushings, and the gears are the same as TM's.. and The FPS is exactly the same.. with aluminum piston head, and chrome cylinder...

Plus the SRC has a metal body...

    All that for..

    100$ less then a TM.

Well, I think this thread will drop down soon, and I doubt anyone will search for an advice thread, before they post their question. Good idea though, if only it could be stickyfied.

You forgot about TM's quality control. That is the sole reason that I like to stick to Marui. You know you won't get a lemon, and it doesn't take them 10 versions to get a gun right.

In airsoft, you get what you pay for. That's what I use as a guide.

Amen to that Randall! a very good reason why all my aeg's are made by Tokyo Marui. a very good example is that i bought my TM M4 last 2003, i replaced the spring, installed metal bushing and air sealed nozzle and until now the performance is still the same, i only clean the barrel after i consume a bag of bb's then lube the internals after 3 months. that's it!
