Aso we have had alot of CA in the team, Off my head:
    CA M249 MKII (another)
    CA MP5SD2
CA MP5A2 (two others, my excluded)
    CA M15A4 Rifle
    CA M15A4 Carbine

And we haven't had a single problem, other then the normal ones from wear. I'd go for the CA because the weapon is alot more solid. The TM bends and makes noises while doing so. I want my AEGs to feel like real weapons and not toys.

The main problem with the G36 is its magazines, they take alot of space. Few pouches can hold 2.
to be honest, my CA M15A4 SPC works now pretty well. all i done is replace hop-up chamber, tappet plate and nozzle, then tighten inner barrel.

and also i change wires (just for sure).

and i must say that my MC 51 (Marui) works well out of the box, and serving me right over 1 year, before i decide to convert it to HK 51 with long outer barrel and tune it up to 120 m/s.

Uhhhhh, I can fit 3 hooked together in 1 100 round SAW pouch. , And I can fit 2 easy in standard M4 / M16 mag pouches MOLLE style. And last but not least, 4!

And what the hell are you talking about? Not all TM feels like ****, all the TM weapons I've had feel fine, and CA isn't any better.

while I wouldnt really consider the magazines an issue myself, they are bigger then AR mags and becuaseof the odd lumps and bumps do snag and catch when going in and out of a mag pouch, a standard double M4 magpouch (BHI for instance) has a hard time fitting to G36 mags comfterbly.

as for the marui vs. ca debate, CA G36's do feel diffrent due to their diffrence in material in the handgaurds, they also look slightly less shiny (ABSplastic vs glass fibre), but again I dont think there is really one being better then the other, diffrent strokes for diffrent folks.

I've been looking at all the airsoft guns I'd like to buy along with ACUs and different kinds of vests, but I've forgotten up till now the most important peice of kit: eye protection.

What's an inexpensive solution for eye protection? I'm thinking $30-$80 possibly. Something that is comfortable and has good protection against fogging.

kinda depends on how you plan on playing and where. some places require you to wear full seal goggles, some even require a full paintball mask (usually if your under 18) so checking that out is a good idea before spending money.

shooting glasses are a good option, ESS ICE's are a nice choice (only run about 30 bucks or so) and wont fog much, but even these will fog under some conditions.
myself, I use a pair of mesh goggles I made from thick screening and a pair of chainsaw mesh goggles, this is the most simple and (i think) best option for playing during the day, they cant fog and dont distort the image to any real degree (aside from at night when they are unusable)

i am willing to save up alot if i have to, but i need a good gun, desperatly!!!!!! i don't care what kind it is, any NATO weapons, not AK's, i highly despise them!

you need to skip ICS and skip EVIKE.
here is my reccomendation on what you need to do:

    save about 400 dollars.

then goto this website: http://www.andairsoft.com (you could choose another more local store if you wish, personally I would choose A&A but thats your call baby)

then call their number, talk to the dudes there (nicest dudes around, will walk you and or your dad right through the process) pick a gun, and CA is the way to go for most people these days, order it and commence playing airsoft.

    fin.

It matters on what type of airsofting you do. If CQB take the mp5(a4 is better-larger battery=longer playing time without swapping batteries).I personly love my ics mp5a4, never giving me a problem once. If you play large outdoor games with very farr away engagments I would buy a longer barreled gun like a g3sg1. here's my baby........

ICS may or may not give you problems.

but the logic is, its your first (nice) gun, and you probubly dont have alot of money. so presumably you want something thats as realiable and long lasting as possible. and for pure out of the box ABSOLUTLY WILL WORK reliability nothing eclipses marui. CA is somewhat of a followup but since alot of people think if a guns made of plastic its just gotta suck, CA is the popular choice.

smart choice for a first AEG is marui, second most smart would be CA.

I guess I sort of agree with that
