I'm not a tech-genius, but if I can find my usb for my digital I'll post it. It's like in 15 pieces. UFI, it didn't take much either. I guess that's nothing to brag about!
Post a picture of the CA you killed off please, i would love to see it

Oh well i was just wondering how the heck you got a CA to go up to 700 dollars.
hi all this is my first post im sorry if im hurting someone else's feeling.
i came from a country called Indonesia, so excuse my bad english![]()
well first of all about AnK. I have used it once (before i sold it because i wanted to buy an M14 perhaps in USA they called it a UTG M14)
quite well performed in it's class. heavy (to the front tho), spare parts are TM compatible including the mags, hop chamber, barrel (brass).
but do the AnK M4S a favour. don't go for too much accesories on the rail or the "ears" in upper receiver will broke in time. one of the AnK basic flaw.
perhaps if u want to buy it here are some things to do first:
1. Change the cylinder head. it's important because the cylinder head's pole seems to wobble on most gearboxes that i have ever opened.
2. change the O-Ring. yeah...the chinese never had any good o-ring - -'
3. this is optional but give some thoughts of changing the Tappet plate and Nozzle because they're look brittle.
else of it maybe u could do some basic change like metal bushings, re-shim or change of springs. but be wary when you put guarder gears on it. it may not be well fit (need some mods on gearbox first). and the spring guide must using a pin based (like systema) don't use tab based like guarder ones.
and one more el-cheapo i can reccomend is a Cyma 027J for MP5 Looks.
hehehe don't compare it to TM. because as u know. The price difference isn't about all talk :P
about CA. i'm not sure about it. but ppl here seems to avoiding CA because it seems they're having problem with their QC. my friend once had a G36. it's OK and fine but once u start to changing everything, there goes the trouble. same ish with the CA M15A4. once u start pounding stiffer springs and play with the electricity (maybe extending or change the cable routes) there goes the trouble.
worst case i've ever told is one of my friend's SLR-105 (AK-105), he got an awful batch. the exterior is fine, but the gearbox thingy very very bad. he got an awful gear shims, awful cyl compression.
but maybe not all CA got that problem is just a matter of luck
but for newbie i think that they should have stick with TM for first. a safe bet in any situation. no DoA cases, good QC, good hop-up unit, plenty of spare parts, great Motors, and good markings![]()
hehe just my 2cents and i might gone wrong![]()
thanks
Hey guys. I'm TJ and I'm living in the good ol' US of A. I was thinking about getting myself a gun, but I dont know anything about AEGs anymore. I used to play airsoft a long time ago and alot seems to have changed. So i was wondering if I could get some good money saving tips from this thread.
First, I only need a gun and the acessories to go along with it. I'll worry about what to wear later.
I was thinking of a gun from the AR15 family. Maybe a M16A4, HK416 or a M4. But I want to keep the M4 as a last resort because my last gun was a M4.
I NEED the gun to have a built in rail system so I can put stuff on like a vertical foward grip, aimpoint ETC. Oh, and some advice on what aimpoint I should get would be nice too.
My price range is about 500bucks for the gun and accessories. Mayeb I can go a little overboard, but I want to keep it low as possible. Im a college student and my part time job does not really pay that well.
So what AR15 should I get? I only know CA and Marui, which are both kinda expensive. There seems to be some middle priced brands but I dunno anything about them. Should I stay away from those?
i dunno bout the price in the usa. but since you have the budget of 500, i think that CA M15A4 RIS or TM M4RIS would be sufficient. CMIIW
I cant find a CA M16a4 RIS anywhere. You mean the M16A4 SPR?

Its pretty damn expensive!
He meant this: http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/...oducts_id=1858
These would also fit your requirements:

CA guns have metal bodies, shoot fairly high fps out of the box and are reliable. If you want to spend less, the only reliable choice is TM really. TM's have ABS bodies and will not shoot as hard as CA's out of the box. They are good quality skirmish pieces though.

How about the VFC416? I cant find reviews of this gun anywhere. Is it a quality gun? VFC is a company Ive never heard of. so Im not really confident in them
vfc is the best if you have the budgetFull markings even in the ejection port and magazine, QC was perfect, Marui based spare parts, fps is about 360-370 but the price is a lil bit expensive than the CA. if you want to go for HK 416. make sure you bought the DX version (double barrel, the cqb and normal ones). A tips from my friend who has this thing, make sure you go for Crane Stock/LMT or VLTOR to store big batteries in the stock to stabilize the weight. because the weight of this gun is quite heavy and centered in front.
and bought another M16 type mag (marui will be good for you) because the hi cap systems on HK 416 is weird. the winder doesn't located at the bottom of hicap, instead they give you some kind of key for winding the mag. if this key is lost, you know the rest of the story

and one manufacturer you can consider too is GnP (www.gp-web.com). they make good quality guns with power slightly higher than CA (CMIIW). and the qc is good toonever heard any DoA cases
OMG! I just found out vert grips go like 40-50 bucks. Are you kidding me> for a piece of plastic?! Anthing cheaper than this?
hahaha that's why i advise that you go for TM M4RIS. the grip is included in the package
http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/...oducts_id=1910
the SR-16 is nice too unfortunately they can't sell it with the markings (the markings was good)
(vertical grip included also w/ the rail covers)
the M4 CQBR from GnP
http://www.gp-web.com/en/productspop.php?pid=1267
(AFAIK, any M4/M16 w/ RIS from GnP comes with decent vertical grip)

Im pretty much a paintball player (haven't played in 2 years but planning to play this year again). But I was interested in picking up an airsoft just for the fun of it. Do they make any scar heavy airsofts?
I've been an airsofter for about 3-4 years now, and this is my first post on the MP forums.
The first thing I would recommend to new players is to not buy more than one inexpensive gun. You end up losing money on them. They will break quickly, and there are no replacement parts available. I think that if you're interested in airsoft, you should get yourself a UHC 1911 or maybe a nice KWC pistol. Borrow a paintball mask or get one for airsoft (shooting glasses are not enough) and see if you like airsofting, but know that high end guns will be a lot more fun.
Then, go straight to the good stuff. I recommend a Tokyo Marui or Classic Army. The M4/M16 series is nice because of all the replacement and upgrade parts available, but don't be afraid to try a different style gun if you like it better. Just do some research and read reliable reviews on it. Get a gun with version 3 or higher gearbox; they are better and have more parts available. These guns can be customized with internal and external upgrades, but they are not necessary immediately. Remember that in the long run, it will save you money.
Get some extra mags to go with your gun. Midcaps are generally the best because they hold more than locaps/realcaps. You don't have to wind them or worry about noise from BBs rattling like with hicaps. Also get a good pair of goggles that are designed for airsoft or paintball, have the ANSI Z87.1 high impact rating, and provide a full seal around your eyes. They may be a little expensive, but they'll be worth it. Don't get a mesh mask- BB particles can shatter and fly through. Also consider how much they fog, as that is very annoying during a skirmish.
Gear is also something to consider. You can get a pair of US Woodland BDUs for pretty cheap fron a surplus store. They make the game more realistic, but they are nice to have for the same reason the military uses camouflage: you blend in better and are harder to find. However, a pair of cargo pants and a shirt in Olive Drab (green) or mock-Woodland aren't bad either if you're just starting out and don't want to spend money on camo yet. Boots are good to have, again for the realism, but also because they protect your ankles when you are running through terrain.
If you have more mags than you can (or want to) just stick in your pockets, consider some tactical gear. You can get an ALICE belt, Y-suspenders, and M16 mag pouches for pretty cheap at a surplus store or possibly online. There are also some decent tac vests made by UTG for around $40-50. They have regular vests that are somewhat customize-able and some MOLLE replica vests now.
One more thing- don't get a sniper rifle as a first good gun. It is not like video game sniping. You need to have some experience with airsoft to develop and know your playing style. If you like to use stealth and don't mind missing out on a firefight just to keep camouflaged and take one good shot, it may be a good role for you. You won't know that until you've played airsoft for a while.
