Shouldn't this be in the pics board?
this thread will deal with military uniforms from the independence of Mexico to the present .
in my opinion four countries have shaped de look of the Mexican uniform, Spain, France, Germany and United States since the times of the Mexican revolution and to the present as most armies of the world have been influenced one way or another by the United States Armed Forces since WW2, many examples exist online to support my claims and they will be presented with time and with the contribution of this community.
just started , i'm working on it and is no only pics videos too, thank you
Years ago, I saw Pictures of 1980's Mexican Paratroopers wearing what looked like Black dyed US M1942 Jumpsuits, Angled Pockets and all.
hi, indeed you're correct, what you sow was the morning uniform, or the fatigues that we called "fajina" , i have a photo of myself with a black uniform that was in use until the end of the 1980's, and i never understood why it had to be black, thats why i started this to see if anyone knows things like that.

Sorry to hijack your thread bro.. but out of pure interest do you have any information on Mexican military MREs?
There is information about Mexico's "MRE" equivalent on wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_ration#Mexico
I saw one for sale at a flea market back in 2005 with a lot of German rations but at the time i didn't know what was in it or if it was even real or possibly expired , so i didn't buy one but now I'm regretting it. It was going for $34 US and it was a fairly large box so i'm guessing that there was a lot of food in it. The guy selling it said they were good and he got it from a friend who was in Louisiana (i'm assuming during the hurricane, because i know the mexican aid workers there passed them out) so i would bet that there are probably a good number of them available on the internet.
