    The orange boys are the Marine Police (Polisi Air). See page 53.
    The black boys could be a mixture of Brimob + Gegana + Den88-AT.
    You see their MP5SDs; how brand-new they are ?

    the Denjaka is a CT unit under the Marine Corps. Kopaska is a Navy Special Forces, similar to SEAL or PASKAL in Malaysia...

    Ahh.. I forgot to pay attention to the last photo, clearly stated "..dengan basis 'Dynamic Components dari Helicopter BO-105'.." which is "..based on BO-105 Dynamic Components" in english..

    Interesting ..... nose mounted sensor/sighting system, single pylon stub wings, with all-cannon/mg configuration. For Indonesian theater - suppressive fire weapons are more useful than precision guided weapons I guess .... ?

    BTW - can anybody confirm that the Hinds are based @ A Yani airport? I'm going home this December - be nice to be able to get some decent shots.

    Currently there are two Army air squadrons in Semarang; Skuadron Udara 31/Serbu Berat (Heavy Assault) & Skuadron udara 11/Serbu Ringan (Light Assault). The current Mi-35 Hind & Mi-17 Hip will be assigned to Skuadron 31.

    In the near future, more Hinds & Hips will be assigned to the newly built Skuadron Udara 12 in Way Tuba, South Sumatra & another one in Kalimantan.
