Ha ha ha.... too easy Pak Broncos! Answer....

    "Overalwagen" Armored Car
Unable to quickly procure sufficient quantities of armored vehicles, the KNIL turned to the Braat Steel Works in Batavia and the Soerabaja Drydock Company (a shipyard!) on Java for assistance. These companies converted several hundred 4x2 trucks into armored cars using boiler plating. The result was a functional, but heavy and hard-to-handle vehicle resembling an armored bank car. There were three variants, including:
    - A personnel carrier with 2 x Vickers 7.7mm machine guns
    - A patrol car with 4 x Madsen 6.5mm machine guns
    - An airfield defense car with 1 x .50-caliber machine gun

Although initially planned and built for reserve and Home Guard units, these vehicles were pressed into service all over the Netherlands East Indies. In addition to Borneo, Tarakan and Java, they saw heavy combat at Menado, Kema and Palembang. In addition, a platoon of Overalwagens was deployed to Billiton Island in February 1942 to support a company of the KNIL's 9th Infantry Battalion. It is unclear if the vehicles were abandoned when the island was evacuated, or if they were lost when Japanese bombers sank their transport in the Banka Strait.

A number were destroyed in action at the places listed above, including at least one knocked out at point-blank range by a Japanese tank on Java. Many others were captured by the Japanese and used for occupation duties. After the war, Indonesian nationalists also used them against Dutch and British forces in their war of independence.

But do you know what this is? Also used by the KNIL....

    A never-seen-before picture.
Was she, in this picture, praying with her hands or suffering the agony of being badly sick ? Or maybe she was deeply in pain being betrayal by her own countrymen ?
    Nobody knows.

    Good job on Overalwagen!!

Image is Canadian C15TA. KNIL used a bunch of them before the war, then the Imperial Japanese pressed them into service for urban patrol. Later on, TRI used it for riot control etc.

The gun is some kind of howitzer, 76mm - 88mm from the look of it.. it might be British 25pounder w/ truck wheel & tire instead of the standard version.

BTW TNI managed to refurbed these C15TAs after the war and pressed them for action for another decade.

    EDIT... wiki on C15TA,

No Master Chief, that was British Lee Enfield, most proliferated assault rifle on the hand of Indonesian independence war guerillas. Maybe from Dutch invenstory before WW II

After the Independence War, TNI acquired Garand M-1 and M-2
But Indonesian Armed forces used the wide array of small weaponry since their first inception. Maybe we can traced the root cause of heteroweapon system syndrome in TNI back to the 1945.
I remember in a defense magazine long time ago that Indonesian Police also used Germany M-98 Mauser for its standard rifle.

Sorry Joh Anus, its not an Overalwagen but an Overvalwagen.

This picture is from een Overvalwagen (picture from Orient
Magazine 1941) during a parade in Batavia late 1941.
The coat of arms of the Batavia Stadswacht is painted
on the front of the vehicle. Note small searchlights on
    hull sides.
The engine received fresh air through a radiator below
the nose of the vehicle (visible in this picture). To
reach the engine the top of the hood could be opened.
Visibility from inside the overvalwagen was poor,
especially for the driver. Crews complained about this
and the vehicle was especially difficult to maneuvre
    when turning or driving backwards.
In the last case the vehicle commander had to stand
up and expose himself to give directions to the driver.

    Oya, some 'good' news:

KORVET TNI AL DARI PT PAL TUNGGU MENKEU

Jakarta - Pengadaan satu unit kapal jenis Korvet senilai 220 juta dolar AS pesanan TNI Angkatan Laut dari PT Pal Indonesia (PAL) tinggal menunggu penetapan kontrak dari Menteri Keuangan.

"Penetapan kontrak sedang diproses tinggal menunggu keputusan Menkeu," kata Kepala Staf AL Laksamana Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno.

Sorry about the typo Kopi-susu...... my mistake. But you better not make any spelling mistakes or else I am gonna be pedantic juga....

End of the day, the Overvalwagen was pretty crap! ya kan?
