But significant most of them wern't nazist. Austria paid a great price of Anshlusch after WW2. Being frankly Austrian nation still is standing at the gates of historical "katharsis". Nowdays, exept some nationalist they are cool...

This an old photo of me standing in front of an Austrian mobile 3D long range air search radar. I have forgotten the name of exact location.

After WW1 we lost the industrial and the agricultural part of our big empire. We felt like we cannot survive alone. The population was frustrated and our leaders were weak. It was easy for the professional propaganda of the NS regime to prepare the Anschluss and soon there were many Nazis in Austria, because "big brother" Germany gave the Austrians hope and jobs! Rest is history.Originally Posted by Switek
Today Nazis are no problem in Austria. We have a very strict NS-law so there are no real Nazi demos etc. For example even denying of Nazi-cruels -> 10 years in prison. Our far-right party has to become a right party and broke into two parts. The Nazi-scene is much smaller and not so active than in other european countries.
Doesn't look very mobile...Originally Posted by Saturn5
mobile radar station - it is transported on 6-7 trucks and can be build up in some hours. It has an official primary range of 300km in 3D. We use them to control the airspace around big events or when we have to repair the fixed radar stations. On the picture you can also see a mobile c3 station (boxes on the right), which is not a "must have" for usual missions.
for better mobility: Thomson-CSF Flamingo with an official range of 80km in 3D.
Skyguard Firecontrol-Trailer - official radar range 15km (+ optronics etc.)

Cyclop do you know the location of this photo? If it is in Steiermark then this could be the place where my photo was taken. The surroundings look familiar.Originally Posted by Cyclop
No, I don't know - looks like Steiermark (styria) or Kärnten (corinthia).
