all jokes aside!
What is he doing to the guy in front of him?
And yes Id agree it does look like a fritz with no bulges. Your eyes are not decieving you!
This looks like a 'Fritz' with no bulges. Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

I think he is giving some instructions. It's a big caliber if you see the links lying on the board.Originally Posted by bluffcove

guy in the rear is wearing the newer style navy ONLY issue kpot, and kevlar vest.. the gunner is wearing the older (80's) issue helmet and flak vest.
the gun is 20mm.

It's NOT a version of the K-pot or the MICH / ACH / TBH. The green helmet in the picture is the new issue Navy Mk. Gunners helmet. The suspension is that of a hard hat. You can see the crank at the nape of his neck.
looks like the guy behind is an assistant gunner or spotter.JMO

I hadn't noticed the size adjusting knob before. Very interesting. Is it a ballistic helmet, or just an impact helmet like a hard hat?The green helmet in the picture is the new issue Navy Mk. Gunners helmet. The suspension is that of a hard hat.
It may just be a Marine Corps thing, but we usually shoot at targets...
Yes it's a ballistic helmet. About the same thickness as a standard Kevlar helmet.
Uncomfortable as HELL. trange sliding chin strap as well.
