    oh the teens will continue operating for a hella long time...the last F-16 was only recently delivered, F-15E's also underwent low life production for a little while, and the SuperHornets just equpped a bunch of squadrons. Also, isn't the EG-18 undergoing testing right now?

    The US should upgrade the F-16 to block 60 standard.They will then have 3 4th Generation fighters.Also for kicks fit the AESA radar on the F-15 and give her another 30-50 years of service.That will be 4 4th Generation fighters that can whoop ass.

    I believe the F15C's are getting an AESA radar

    The E's are getting AESAs. It was planned at one time to outfit the F-15Cs also turning them into "Golden Eagles" but that's been dropped for the moment. They said they'll take one C all the way through the upgrade process to prove the process but that's it. No money.

    The photos you have seen are of the X-35. These photos are of the first F-35 production model.
