    no of course not. The grey "shields" below the cockpit and on the sides are inflatable 'balloons' that allow the aircraft to float in the case of a emergency landing on water.

    They use pretty old ammo, from what I can read on that ammocan; FN 63?! Thats 43 year old stuff... Not that there is something wrong with that ammo (I shot 70 year old ammo without a promblem one time), but it's strainge that we don't have some more recent stuff around.
    BTW, nice mix of cartridges: one tracer, two AP and two ball.

    My gues is that they keep using old boxes, when they are empty you can refil them .

    2 Ball, 2 Ap and 1 tracer is standard in non-peacetime operations, whereas 4 ball and 1 tracer is standard during normal gunnery. (1 set of 230 tracers does look very neat during nightfire, to be honest.)

    I think this last episode of windmill was quite allright, ofcourse the time is too short to explain certain things more specific, but the general picture was allright.

    thats why you have to return the empty boxes at the end of the shootingday
