Could anyone tell me what the speakers are on the CV90's in the first photo of the article? I've seen them before on the Leo's as well, but never understood what they are meant for.

Also, totally unrelated, does anyone have any new info regarding the new camopatterns, or possible new boots/ helmet?

I don't really understand what you mean with the speakers. But due to the budgetcuts there isnt much progress with the camo/helmet upgrade program. For the hemet there's this topic http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...ch-helmet-2011

    For the camo see http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...mouflage/page5

I mean that. Also, thank you for the link to the helmet topic. I do know a desert uniform has been produced and tested in Australia during the multi camo test there, but haven't seen it anywhere else than in Amersfoort

Hey, at least it's the best looking modern navy ship out there.
Just look at those lines, how could they use such a great stealthy design with killer sensors and not put any weapons on it? (rhetoric question, I know why)
Though they will take the pressure off the frigates and that provides enough force to mount up a 'fleet' again.
Lets just hope those rumors about the MFF replacements are real.
