NATO forces and Afghan army and police recently launched Operation Baaz Tsuka in Kandahar's Panjwayi and Zhari districts, where NATO's biggest ground battle in its history _ Operation Medusa _ was fought in September. As part of the southern operation, ISAF forces have launched several airstrikes against Taliban command posts, killing a number of Taliban leaders.
