Polish medics train using Unites States Army Combat Lifesaver bags during a training course May 5, at Forward Operating Base Salerno. To prepare them for conducting joint operations with U.S. forces, the medics are being given a CLS class to familiarize them with U.S. military medical procedures, as well as to give them their last refresher course before they go out on missions. "This course is very good, because of how realistic it is," said Polish Major Mark Pierkarski, a field surgeon. Once the medics move to their FOBs and firebases, they will work jointly with U.S. medics in aid stations. (U.S. Army photo/Pfc. Micah E. Clare)
