    Hey, guys - I have a question...
Since media and mod coverage of the afghan mission is more than poor and depicts mainly such events as "christmas in bargram" or else, I decided to go across naszaklasa.pl and I found there a ****load of great personal photos from the field.
do you think it will be ok to repost them here? the mentioned photos were posted to the public by their owners, so IMO PERSEC rules would not be broken.

I’m not sure if You can post the photos without permission. AFAIK you can see the photos on nasza-klasa.pl when you are registered there. Of course everybody can register, but I don’t know if the photos posted there really have “public” status. But that's only my guess.

It has been already noticed by our government that lots of those personal photos are not PERSEC or OPSEC safe so I'd prefer not to put them here.

I know what you mean, but the case you mentioned was concerning policemen under cover. the photos i collected concern regular infantry from Miedzyrzecz and paras from Bielsko. asaik their identity is not protected by any law especially when they post their personal pictures in an open media. but what do you other guys think about reposting them here? - Mishka? Catch?
because those photos seem to me really interesting in terms of gear and equipment.

First of all why don't you first contact the owners of those pictures first and get their permission. If they allow, then there is no problem, if not well, that's a shame. The point is those pictures are not yours and reproducing them over here would be illegal as far as I am concerned. Also if pictures are in any way exposing daily routines of soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan or any type of useful information for the taliban to learn from, which may be used to carry out attacks and so forth, they should not be even on the web. If the pictures are personal then ask the owners for the permission to use them/reproduce them here.

the problem is that i 've found so many of them that i won't be able to find now their owners only by the file names... (as I ran across naszaklasa in search of them only once)
ok, then I won't show them here
BTW those are mostly just hires posed pictures with Tor 12,7 mm rifle for example or some few US2007 lookalike uniforms in effect etc.
I thought it could be interesting for you.

The main problem lays in the fact that you need to have the premission from the owners of the pictures and as long as they do not expose Polish troops to any risks involved, as I mentioned above, then there should not be a problem.

    Edit:
Let's not derail this topic anymore. I am sure that the mods are watching as we type.

Those would be great. However, copyright issues aside - and we could write long essays on the subject from any position - "nasza klasa" seems to be smelling very badly lately - stay clear of it. See:

Maniek and his crew ride on roads and across fields

"There was always something on every patrol so I composed everything into a video of one ordinary routine patrol" - maniekSHARANA.

The videos have been taken around Sharana, Paktika, Afghanistan. Surely the Rosomak turns all the heads around. Kids being kids - some pretend to shoot, some shout something. One youth even smiles.

Great find Mishka! Some really nice vids in his profile.

I like the one about our and US soldiers helping Afghanis who were hit by a mine:

The fire training vid was also a good one:
