NSR has the same problems like regular military. The diffrence is that - like all over the world - the reserve units (like NSR) are issued with the oldest equipment and NSR's part time soldiers are passing just 10% of the training of the regular units soldiers. While regular units are not training enough and in the propper way, and are not equipped well, NSR members are in much worse situation. But this is a problem of whole Polish military, not just NSR.

NSR is important and necessary for the Polish military. All modern military forces in the world like USA, UK, NL etc., which are said to be proffesional, are supported by the part time, voluntary reserve units, like. Poland need them as well.

I'm not satisfied with the conception of NSR, but it's good sign, that it was created. At least it gives the persons, who wasn't conscripted in the past, the opportunity to pass through basic training and to be able to became proffesional in the future.
Everything is fine but the main problem is that how long after prep duty I will have to wait to be a pro? I don't want to be unemployed for one or two years. These days it is very hard to find a job.

It's not that hard. It depends if you want to bust a nut all day, for a few bred crums, while you wait to 'live the dream'

It has. Straż Graniczna continues WOP (Wojska Ochrony Pogranicza) and KOP (Korpus Ochrony Pogranicza) traditions. It uses the same ranks, uniforms and camouflage. It's true that Straż Graniczna is independent, but it has many in common with Polish Land Forces and whole Polish Armed Forces.

I'm not a subject matter authority, but I see it like this.
