Afghanistan - Act II
Saturday morning
There were farewell speeches, a soldiers parade, a traditional soldier's meal - a delicious pea soup, last hugs - and there they went, 120 parachutists, on the deck of Boening 757.2007-10-06, 0830, Polish time, Wrocław, Strachowice Airport. First group of the 2nd rotation of Polish Military contingent flies to Afghanistan. These are the soldiers from the 6th Air Assault Brigade from Kraków.
Saturday afternoon
A successive group of 230 soldiers of the 2nd rotation of Polish Military Contingent - Afghanistan flew off from the 3rd Air Base in Wrocław on the deck of Boening 767, North America line. Most of those soldiers are from the 17th Mechanized Brigade.
