    Female Iraqi soldier.

    Sgt. Bushra Jabar, 34, of the Iraqi Army's First Brigade, First Battalion, carries her handgun while riding to work in the back of a pickup truck in central Baghdad. Jabar is the only woman in the Iraqi Army unit patrolling the Kharkh district in the heart of the Iraqi capital.

    I have seen her in a French tv report about 6 months ago. A very brave and determinate woman. Happy to see her again.

    The Karkh district isnt all that dangerous considering.

    Brave lady....But..in Second Pic she is wearing Jungle type green Camo..is it appropriate for Urban / Desert Conditions ? Don't know

    Maybe not generally speaking--but I'd think she's in a lot more danger than the average Iraqi soldier. A society that barely recognizes women as human beings must have a real problem with one who carries a weapon and has some jurisdiction.

    Iraq has always been ahead in the Arab world when it came to the way they treated there women..For this I congratualte the Iraqi's.Except for bastard Saddam and sons! bloody rapist pigs.
