They also replaced the FN GP aka Browning Hi Power with Glocks last year.
    Hi Mate,

Thanks for the Info, I must admit i thought Luxembourg would wait to see what Belgium did concerning a new Camo Pattern as the 2 armies work so closely together and with Luxembourg Soldiers using and wearing Belgian Kit on some deployments.

Still its good to see the Luxembourg Army keeping its own identity, and I do like the new Camo Any idea when it will be on general Issue ?

I am interested in learning of the "social" of the military and police forces. So ask these questions. What is the salary of a Luxembourg-based soldier? Defendant is a career for young people?, I know that to join the police you must have been in the Army, are earning more salary in the Police in the Army? . Thank you very much in advance if you want to know something about thethe Spanish Guardia Civil, here I am .-

Salaries vary inbetween "Volontaires" = enlisted voluntary soldiers, "sous officiers" = professional NCO's and "Officiers".

    Enlisted soldiers

    Soldat: 1.456.- EUR BRUT
Soldat 1ere classe: 1.547.- EUR BRUT
    Soldat-Chef: 1.708.- EUR BRUT
    1er Soldat-Chef: 1.903.- EUR BRUT

    Enlisted soldiers on deployment

    Soldat: 2.427.- EUR BRUT
Soldat 1ere classe: 2.517.- EUR BRUT
    Soldat-Chef: 2.679.- EUR BRUT
    1er Soldat-Chef: 2.872.- EUR BRUT

& 1.890.- € bonus per month when they are on deployment.

I haven't found any numbers on NCO's and officers pay.

The Police Grand-Ducale doesn't recruit exclusively from the army anymore.

    EDIT:

I found the pay of NCO's and Officers:

    NCO's start at 3.500.- €

    Officers start at 5.000.- €

    Both amounts are before taxes.
