Default Odd USMC ILBE Assault Pack listings on ebay

    Hi everyone,
I've been watching this auction in the hope of nabbing an ILBE assault pack:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Molle-MARPAT...QQcmdZViewItem

However, recently another very similar listing showed up, different seller with 0 feedback and using the exact same photograph in their listing:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-USMC-ISSUE-M...QQcmdZViewItem

Now here's what makes me even more suspicious: crcustomz.usmcmystery, the seller of the first auction, made their feedback comments private just today. I was going through them last night after spotting the second autction and thinking it odd, and one of the negative feedbacks left was from a very reputable seller (I actually went through all of the 800-some pieces of feedback this person had) who implied that crccustomz.usmcmystery was also several other ebayers, and several of these ebays had left positive feedback on crccustomz.usmcmystery's page.
I just emailed the sellers, but I'm wondering if I should report it to ebay now, as it's entirely possible that I won't get a response at least from the seller of the first auction before it's over.
Am I just being paranoid? What do you guys think? I'd still love to get one of those packs and don't want to get anybody in trouble if there's nothing up, but it all seems a bit suspicious.

I also noticed it...that is why I don't want to bid on it. Very fishy.

That looks like the new Issued Assalt Pack for the Marines to me. Built by Arc'terx. This pack attaches to a large internal frame pack.. There are pick of Marines in Iraq with this pack in the Photo Gallery...

    Am I missing something here...

    Thumbs down

I got a response from both. One was sent half an hour after the other and the two responses are very similar. Same bad grammer and style of writing. It's quite plain they're the same seller...so a warning to all those looking to complete their USMC loadouts: DON'T BID ON THESE PACKS!!

Yes, that is infact the new issue assault pack. My mate in the USMC just got issued his about 2 months ago, however it was part of a larger pack and could be detatched from the larger as a day sack.

The question is, is it any good? I already have an excellent Eagle 3-day assault pack covered in MOLLE in khaki (a coyoteish shade) - I've been keeping an on the Arc'Teryx stuff and it does look good quality, but anyone got any experience with one and whether or not it's worth getting?

Yeah this is just the assault pack, not the main pack itself, they are very nice, they are also very expensive if you lose it.

The pack like this guy is selling, the real ones, are beautiful, although i melted a hole in the bottom of my main pack from it laying against the exhaust of the LAV , its an awesome pack, it didnt get through both layers of the bottom though, so it still holds my things, i need to get some 90 mph tape and fix it. Its rugged and durable indeed.

Can you post pics of the complete system...? I was also wondering is why does the Corps issues a MARPAT ruck system, but a CT OTV and Load Bearing system..
