What is the black thing in the instructors hand?
does anyone have a pic of the challenge champ???
It's a metranome. As it clicks the guy has to go down, then up again on the next click. Hard to do alot of pushups like that. Most of them only got 30 or so last year.

Its a flat surface for doing push ups, so that the mulch below doesnt interfere.
Plus they have to place their hands inside the little marked off boxes. They can't go widearm when they get tired.
I was training in the training area right next to the Ranger Comp, Furhman range, i went and watched some for a bit....some strong soldiers on those teams... I watched some of the shooting events too...I love the ping of ceramic plates...
It is not black/yellow, but black and gold, the colors of the Ranger Training Brigade.
