What's the tunnel toll from Cleveland?

Americans complaining about petrol prices in Saudi is akin to Europeans complaining
about gas prices in America. Every country pays what every country can justify
    economically.

Since we, the rest of the world, subsidise your low petrol prices wouldn't it have been nice to say "thank you" in that text somewhere. Just an idea ...

Huh? Where do you get this? First of all, if you buy your food directly from a farm and eat it there, you don't pay for the cost of transporting that any more. We're the source here. Secondly, Western countries have high oil taxes. As a result, Western countries are making more money out of ME oil than the Arabs themselves.

But check this out. A 500ml of bottled water here costs 1 riyals and a liter of petrol will cost 60/100 halalas.

Secondly, it goes good for US exports of SUV's here where you can find at least 1 SUV per household here. Everybody drives SUV's. Except me. I drive a beat up Honda making US$14k/year thanks. So petrol price should be like this.

    ¨

What do you think pay for the state programmes ? All from roads, healthcare, schools to military. It's income from export sales of oil.

Thanks to the ever increasingly high price of oil, the State bring in more profit. Unlike in the west where petrol companies are privately owned, these are part of the state finances and can be ordered to lower the price as the overall finances of the state is healthy. Imagine if you had no export sales, do you think petrol would be as cheap? You can be pretty sure you would have high taxes on it to finance road system, healthcare etc.

**** your US$14/year. I live here in the US and I only make US$20k/year and am paying US$3/gallon for gasoline which no has 10% Ethanol in it and still cost the same and before it did. Not to mention it's going to eat all the damn rubber **** in my car and then I'll have to buy another one which I can't afford because I only have US$200 left every month after I pay for all of my bills, not including a car note. Bah!
