Is B2/B2S a new designation for the Bernadelli Galils? When I first heard of them, I learned that the rifle was the VB and the carbine was the VB SR. The M203 was also in service for a while mounted on these rifles.

the carabinieri are the 4th branch of the armed forces, not a police service. the m4/m16 rifles are produced by olympic arms and bushmaster.

I know, but they are mainly performing police work, much like France's Gendarmerie -- or so I thought.

Ah. Good detail. Could you please be more specific? Ie, who made the M4A1s used by COMSUBIN? Who made the M4A1s used by the Carabineri? Who made the M16A2s used by COMSUBIN? How are they marked? Thanks!

    Cheers

Good question, but not to be answered in small arms inventory list -- that should go in the Footwear List
