    Thumbs up

Thanks for posting. Those picts can help me to make clear and order my knowledge of origin of present camos, gear and so on. It's very good to see Polish eqiupement from West, East and used by our partisants. I wonder if there is possibility to get such picts with modern gear and unifoms...

    Well done Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz!!!

I noticed the US and UK never really went with the whole Jackboot design, any reason as to why that is? seems popular everywhere else at the time.

Excellent post!!!!!!! Thanks for the great pics.
To answer Roaming East's question about jackboots, and why more countries didn't adopt them, I think it is because they were more costly to produce than ankle-high boots (worn with gaiters) and lacking laces, they really didn't give much ankle support.
In the last couple of years of the war, the Germans started to switching to ankle boots with laces and gaiters too.
I used to do WWII reenacting as a German soldier, and jackboots, while looking cool, really sucked. It was difficult to run fast and maneuver through think brush in them, compared to boots with laces.
