definitely not SF but infantry or even nco school for the first ones.

Merci pour toute ses belles videos, on espère des photos du régiment de chasseurs ARDENNAIS en Afganistan avec ISAF 20.
Thanks![]()
wtf are they doing in the first 2 vids?
live fire ok, but it looks like they just shoot to shoot.
I bet they know what they are doing, looks like supressing fire to me while the rest flanks the enemy.
So you just walk around and in front of the opening?
I've been checking out this thread for a while now and I don't remember seeing these so here goes:
Federal Police (the latter ones are from SIE/ESI, don't know the unit of the guys in the first 3 pics)
Military Police:

The first three pictures (those in black coveralls) are not SIE, but swat of local police (Liege, Antwerp, Gent, Mons or another town ???)
The ones with the guys in grey coveralls are SIE... anyway they are called CGSU now... but they still have the patch of the godess of the hunting... Diane...
Well, it is. I try to explain it from the German view with long Belgian experience. Don´t speak French in Antwerpen and don´t speak Flamish in Namur. But the mentality is the main difference. Both are not very fast in making political, burocratic or social decisions. Same with the military. "Quick" and "Fast" are substitued by "Pragmatic". If you can, speak German in Belgium and everybody will accept you as a minority (wich can be helpful in some political decisions). For Germans, the Belgian ethnic Germans behind the border are a little bit like frenchized lost sons. They have nothing in common with Germans from Munich or Hamburg (food, culture, etc.). Same with Luxemburgers. We consider them German speaking French and not viceversa. Anyway, both great people and neighbours.
For Americans this is maybe very confusing but this is European reality.
That colour is really fugly from the inside, the DF 30 and 90 have it too. Looks very good though from the inside(except DF90).
Happy 21st of July, everyone!
Anyone else go to the defilé? I finally made it there for the first time in my life. More impressive than I thought. They put up a good show. Favorite part was defenitly when the SUV drove by the with the CGSU team on it and the crowd just started cheering and applauding. The 'Groupe Diane' is still on Belgium's mind.
Took a bunch of pictures, I'll post some tomorrow.
