^^ Wow, all that only because you got a tiny spelling remark. Well, you knew the correct Dutch spelling, and I didn't. Good for you. For some reason you think this gives you the right to offend me, but whatever.

So, was I wrong? Yes, according to the dictionary I was (But I still think the entry should be changed. After all it's also fusilleren, fusillade etc).
Could I be forgiven for that mistake? I think yes, because it's a mistake that is made by many people including your mates from the infantry : http://www.google.com/search?hl=nl&q...n&lr=&aq=f&oq=
And does this mean we're arrogant, stupid or lazy? I think not but you have the right to think otherwise.

But at least we agree on one point: stormfuselier is a silly word.

I was just wondering whether any of you have any information on this Belgian helmet (whether military, years used or anything else)?

Snagged the pictures from an online auction but I can’t find any information about the helmet at all.

it is a tank helmet made by "Van De Putte" I didn't know that they ever worked for "the army"... I know that company (I live at 3km from their plant)... I don't believe they make much army gear... they are more specialized in fire department and police outfit (riot helmets, bulletproof vests, firemans helmets, personal safety-equipment, etc...)

    Thanks for the info.

Could very well be. Lack of information about it online is surprising (doesn't seem to be the ten a penny variety of item).

Those last few pics of the guys with the Diemacos are at the RNLMC's Amphib. Ops training centre on Texel, the Joost Dourlein barracks. It's not too far removed from the islands' ferry harbour.
