Only quibble is the turret would probably have rotated towards the ground due to weight of gun and shield. Amazing paint job especially the ACU uniform, I would go blind trying to do that

So true. I forgot about that. It is also present in the pic. Thanks for pointing it out.

    That is very impressive work.

For anyone interested in painting ACU at smaller scales than 1/35th, see this which I think does a pretty good job at representing the pattern:

The guy who did it does post on these forums infrequently.

Haven't seen this thread in a while. Tried out pin washing with enamels and hey, it is good. Built and IS-2 Had to throw an IS-3 in there My recent purchases have been influenced by WoT. Came in from the Czech Rep. Planning to build it up as an in-game T-28 with the 85mm gun. Marder II, it was a fun little panzerjager to play with. A hetzer, because hetzer gona hetz..... Could only find this version in store. Also have interest in Miniart's "half arsed ferdinand" the Su-76. Also gonna try and finish up my Mi-17 in FAM colors by September 16 (Mexican independence day) along with a what if PT-76

    Good day gents,
Well after a 10 year hiatus, give or take, I'm picking up modelling once again... Think it's a virus...
So I am trying to dig up some good sites, in EU or UK preferably, to get me some supplies...

Anybody has some links to sites that carry some more specialized brands, Micro-scale, those Micro-Mesh sanding cloths, acryl paints, some pastels, natural hair point brushes...
I've found some smaller ones, but not the ones that carry a wide range of stuff.
Anybody here from the EU orders exclusively online ?

Last week I went to the local shop, but I have seem to forgotten have expensive some stuff is, dare I say overpriced ? Especially for less common products.
I know you have to account for shipping when you order online, but I feel you can still go cheaper

Hannants website is definately recommended if you can navigate your way through it. If it's modelling in any way shape or form, that site seems to have it.

Trying some phone shots with my micro armour stuff (for those in the know MA is 1/285th scale)

This is a sdkfz 350/17 from their Whermacht '47 set right now I just primered it (I know I have to straighten the main gun)

EDIT: just to show the size of these critters....that's a US quarter!

Micro armour is great. You can run real wargames with that stuff, not like 28mm where two tanks is a crowd...

Wow, I thought that 1/100th scale stuff was small. Rather than smaller, I want bigger stuff. Want to have at least one 1/16 armor kit on my shelf.

Yeah, I've heard lots of guys say that. When the bug get you, it gets you. I've been at this for a year now and my stash is pretty big now. 1/35 scale wise, it's a good time to be a modeller. Quality has gone way up, even lesser known stuff is being put out, detail in some kits is magnificent. Price has gone up, but your dollars=quality now a days.

I think another shop out in the UK is lucky model. I like shopping in store but when I do the online stuff I go with ebay usually. Couple of ebay stores based out of Hong Kong. Even with shipping, most stuff should still be as cheap or cheaper than most other places. A few trumpeter kits cost me like $12-15 bucks a pop when they would have been like $25-30 range. I think my Trumpy T-62 mod 1972 was like $22 bucks. Shipping wasn't bad either, like $10 to California.
