I used MM Israeli Armor Sand http://www.testors.com/products/136519

I have that one too, they are almost identical, SAC Bomber Tan and Israeli Armor Sand. I think I even used it to touch up spots on the merk above. I just hate brush strokes and working my airbrush. I love the convenience of the spray can. Does Testors have NATO tri-color green in the can yet? I know Tamiya did and that stuff was the bomb.

I know you looking for Tamiya colours, but Michael Mass, the curator of the IDF Tank Museum at Laturn, recommends using Humbrol.
Oh and a link for ya:Michael Mass
As I am using Humbrol paints, I've found that #72 is perfect for base coat until mid 70's, and #84 for later IDF AFV color.

guys, i want to paint my merkava using tamiya acrilyc, what color do you advise?
I use Tamiya Acrylic Flat XF-51, Khaki Drab, Testors/Model Master Acrylic Flat Israeli Armor Sand Gray, or I mix them together to find a shade I like. The IDF has used different colors over the years, and of course, no two vehicles are the exact same shade, so you really can't go wrong.
Hrvoje, what did you use to weather the Merkava with. It looks realy good.
Military modelling looks like something i'd want to get into again. I already have a USMC Harrier AV8B, AVRO Arrow, and an A-10. Want pics?
Anyone know any good sites for modelling? I've been wanting to get into making tanks and APCs.
