Chris asked you a simple question DeltaWhisky. You can go to www.army.gov.cy (The CNG site) and see for yourself. No need to get so hostile. BTW, we are not arguing, just pointing out facts. So closing the thread is an overkill. An explanation from your part would also allow us to keep the thread up to MP.net standards, and we would appreciate any help you can give us towards achieving this goal. Thanks in advance for any pointers you can give us.
Frankly it doesn't matter where the images come from, there are images included on a couple of the posts which appear to me to be of a nationalistic nature - the graphic ones with Greek language on them. I am not arguing with anyone, I am telling you - if you wish to continue along this path I will close the thread, pure and simple.
What is more, I have received a complaint from a Turkish member about the nature of this thread - bearing in mind the current problem with ethnic conflict threads (Balkans, Greek/Turk etc.), I have advised him not to post here. However you see the nature of this thread, it IS clearly offensive to some of our members who have so far shown considerable restraint. Whilst I do not in theory have a problem with positng pictures of the Cypriot National Guard which in an ideal world should cause no problems, clearly this current thread is perceived as a problem by some.
This is my final word on the matter, any more whining and I will lock it down and impose sanctions on offenders. Got it?
.....this is a pic thread, about a the military of the Republic of Cyprus......dont want to get into a political discussion............lets just move along
i am sorry for the ones who are offended..whats offensive and what is not is purely subjective..

Mountain unit? All I could find was some info on Ranger type unit composed of 3-4 MK(commando companies/ detachments) and small MYK naval commando unit. Both units are part of SF command and together they bild SF brigade. Or am I wrong?
