    Default M4/M16 handguard questions

    Alright.

I need some pics of the inner handguard and the heat shield. Not only that if you could measure the distance between the mounts, and the mount and the end of the handguard. It would be much appreciated, I'll check in tomorrow and see if theres any replies. I might have a couple more inquiries soon.

Making custom handguards, in order for them to work properly and not burn your hands from extended firing I need heat shield dimensions and specs.

Thanks for the info so far, google seems useless these days since they are having indexing problems.

Better yet-use a rail system with a foregrip AND use gloves!

I'll see if I can get some measurements upon our next shooting trip. It will be on a carbine length upper in 5.56mm.
