i would compare the kampfschwimmer to the navy seals, not the sek-m. kampfschwimmer are for every amphipic operation, sabotage and such stuff, but boarding is just one of their objects. sek-m is mainly to support a ships crew for boarding operations.

    Here you are!

I saw this kind of stock only one time! In NRW they use the MP5F version whit an EoTech 550 on it. The stock is longer an the EoTech is in the middle of the weapon. So you can aim very well throught the visor!

hmm the first one wears the typically helmet with glasses and headphones, but the two dudes behind him dont. i guess i have to revise my statement all german special police operators would wear the "big" model.

Yeah there are a lot of helmets used in German Police-Units. The old GSG-9 helmets looks a bit like the "SWAT-Helmet" with Sumpftarn. There is also a helmet used, which looks like a motorcycle-helmet (I think SEK-Niedersachen is using this helmet) f.e. on pic nr. 2. And also the Ulbrichts AM95 and the Ulbrichts Zenturio 05.

one and a half year ago i saw sek guys during a hostage siege in frankfurt...although they had a lot of time until their arrival on the scene they just wore their normal clothes and over those their equipment. and mostly you see them this way on pictures.

on wich occasion do they wear a kind of BDU?

Well, there are always some officers at the base. The other officers have "Bereitschaft". So when there is a situation where the SEK is needed the officers at the base and the others in "Bereitschaft" are called. "Bereitschaft" is when you are at home but you have to be at base very fast, when there is a mission to do. The officers who are called when they have "Bereitschaft" often wear there normal clothes because there is no time to change to BDU. The officers at the base often wear their BDU. So in a hostage-situation there are alway officers in normal clothes and BDU. But I guess it's more comfortable to wear normal clothes!

SEK, MEK, GSG9, ZUZ...a quite nice bundle of police special units, if you ask me.

Yeah, ZUZ stands for Zentrale Unterstützungseinheit Zoll. The ZUZ was born in 1995. I do not know exactly the strength but I guess between 200-300 officers!? Does anybody know this?

These are Swiss made TIG helmets. MEK-Hamburg uses them as well as SEK-Thuringen, SEK-Brandenburg and a bunch of Swiss teams
