Default Recommendations for a new pair of boots

After a stroll up Scafell pike and back down again, my Magnums are... well they fell apart almost. So I need a new pair of boots, for airsoft, general purpose and possibly hill walking.
I'm looking to spend about £50-75, £100 max.
What boots do you guys recommend? I've been looking into either a pair of Karrimor boots or some of the waterproof Magnum's.

    cheers

At that price and as you're in the UK I recommend trying the Contour range of boots. These are of excellent quality and made on Scarpa lasts. They use their own generic waterproof liners (non goretex) which are as good as any. I haven't used them but I've met many who have and are very pleased with them. They are also highly recommended on the uk outdoor forums. There are some Karrimors around with that new Event liner which is supposed to be very good. You may want to try aktive8.com and search for karrimor ksb arran event, all sizes £68. I have been informed that they are very good quality and more suited to hill walking than your magnums.

    Hope thats helpful

I agree with Digital Marine. Try the Belleville 790s. Heard they r qute good from around the forums, however I don't own one so don't take opinion seriously.

Bellevilles 700's and 790's are awesome. I used to have a pair of the 790's and they were the most comfortable boots I ever owned at the time. Now I have a pair of the 700's and a pair of the Marine Infantry Combat Boots. Personal preference goes to the Marine ICBs for comfort.

Sounds like you need hiking boots more than combat boots.

Well, it's sort of a balance of both I'm looking for. It seems that the Lowa and Meindl series seem to more ideal since i take up both airsoft and hill walking, so I'm debating with myself whether to splash out the extra money or not.

Anyway, thanks for the recommendations peeps.

I have been searching the net for the Welco website but came up with nothing.
Does anyone know if that company even has a website?
