Defiance
Movie was filmed in Lithuania, it was lot of fun.
Pretty much how I feel. DS9, in my opinion, is where Star Trek reached its epitome (though Enterprise had some redeeming qualities in its last two seasons, and a few of the movies are great), and anyone who tries to make a new ST series should definitely take their influence from there. I just want to know how they're going to justify "getting the whole gang back together" in this film when it takes place long before the Original Series. I kind of wish they had gone with the original script for Star Trek XI, which would have featured original characters during the Earth-Romulan War (~4 years after Enterprise).
revolver is a good movie not ritchies best its been out in the u.k for a while my favorite scene http://youtube.com/watch?v=NHNeOB3Ti2o
From what I heard (A while ago) they are turning back the clock when Kirk was very young so all the actors will be new faces playing old roles? Did I get that right? No idea if they changed that...
My friend mentioned they had a idea for a TV show once involving Klingons as the main draw of the show but it was canned. I love the idea of heavily exploring another race especially one so different as the Klingons.
I'll give it a watch someday. It can't be as bad as half the movies I watch.
Yes, the film is taking place when Kirk is a younger man, although when exactly still isn't clear, but the entire original cast of the film (Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Sulu, Chekov, and Uhura) have all been recast as part of the film. I'm just wondering what kind of plausible reason they can dig up for bringing all those characters together before the Original Series even takes place. And more amusing is that John Cho, the actor cast as Sulu, is 35, five years older than George Takei was when the series was filmed.
As for new shows, I'm up for anything that's creative and doesn't revolve around status quo, crisis-of-the-week-solved-by-technobabble, touchy-feely stories.
Syler is going to be Spock...thats worth the price of admission right there.
