^ The early word on Green Hornet is it's a bag of shit...

According to sources, Sony executives are quite upset with the now-finished film, calling it a “disaster.” Says IESB: “The tone is too campy, they’re not happy with the work from director Michel Gondry and Seth Rogen does not look the part.”

It would be funny if that films turns out to be the opposite, I wouldn't trust executives with quality judgmental. Then again, I am probably just bull****ting myself.

Not really a trailer - an opening clip for an Israeli student film festival (made by my friend's brother, amongst others ):

The Green Hornet trailer looks good. I had a pretty good laugh @ the gas gun going off. I think the rumor is crap. We'll see in January.

    Latest trailer for Predators

Part of a review for Inception, from a Rolling Stone critic.

The mind-blowing movie event of the summer arrives just in time to hold back the flow of Hollywood sputum that’s been sliming the multiplex. ‘Inception’…will be called many things, starting with James Bond Meets ‘The Matrix.’ You can feel the vibe of Ridley Scott’s ‘Blade Runner’ in it, and Nolan’s own ‘Memento’ and ‘The Dark Knight.’ But ‘Inception’ glows with a blue-flame intensity all its own. Nolan creates a dream world that he wants us to fill with our own secrets. I can’t think of a better goal for any filmmaker. Of course, trusting the intelligence of the audience can cost Nolan at the box office. We’re so used to being treated like idiots. How to cope with a grand-scale epic, shot in six countries at a reported cost of $160 million, that turns your head around six ways from Sunday? Dive in and drive yourself crazy, that’s how.

About the new Rian Johnson's (the guy who made Brick and Brothers Bloom) movie Looper:

More cool news from Cannes yesterday, this time dealing with Rian Johnson's sci-fi flick Looper.

Deadline landed the exclusive scoop, which states that Bruce Willis has now joined the futuristic action flick alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Sources indicate that Willis and Gordon-Levitt will play the same character, just in different time periods as the story revolves around time travel and professional assassination.

Our own Monika Bartyzel chatted with Johnson recently and the director was kind enough to share a plot synopsis for the film.

"Looper is a time travel movie, set in a near future where time travel doesn't exist but will be invented in a few decades. It's pretty dark in tone and involves a group of killers (called Loopers) who work for a crime syndicate in the future. Their bosses send their targets hogtied and blindfolded back in time to the Loopers, and their job is to simply shoot them in the head and dispose of the body. So the target vanishes from the future and the Loopers dispose of a corpse that doesn't technically exist, a very clean system. Complications set in from there."

The premise sounds rather Terminator-esque -- which is never a bad thing as far as I'm concerned – with some Time Cop added in. The pairing of one of our last remaining action film legends (Willis) with a talented young actor like Gordon-Levitt is interesting. Johnson professes to love sci-fi and seems excited at the prospect of tackling this project, so it seems as though Looper is in good hands.

What do you think? Does the idea of Willis and Gordon-Levitt playing the same character in a flick about futuristic hitmen pique your interest or would you rather just watch Terminator for the 800th time instead? Sound off below.

The Mad Max 4 looks interesting. I'm a bit confusd though, are they starting out like in the original Mad Max, or are they going from the last film where everyone was driving around on dune buggys and dirt bikes.
