“Django Unchained” actor Christoph Waltz will play former Russian premier Mikhail Gorbachev opposite Michael Douglas’s Ronald Reagan in “Reykjavik” - a movie about the famous meeting between the two amid the threat of nuclear war.

Reykjavik picks up towards the end of the Cold War in 1986, when peace talks between Reagan and Gorbachev were in full swing.
Reykjavik will begin shooting in Iceland in March 2013.

Damn, Stephen Dorff is rare nowadays, but looks like he's going for a comeback ! I haven't seen his other movie, Zaytoun, yet, but it looked interesting !

Thx Raspu, that actually looks pretty good. I mean equipment, sets and acting is promising. Have to keep in mind.

If they went more in the direction of 1993's Stalingrad rather than the typical German 'historical' movie, it might actually be good.

This stuff looks more real than that Iranian stealth jet.

^^ I enjoyed Pitch Black but it's been years since I've been able to take Vin Diesel seriously in anything, I don't know what it is but whenever he's on screen doing his deepvoiced tough guy routine I just want to giggle.
