Hmm, now hopefully that Yushenko wil just go away and live in George Bush's backyard as his pet LOL.

I know people are going to go crazy over this, but joining NATO? Making Ukrainian as the ONLY oficial language? Even the ultra natinalistic minority of Ukrainians apose this moron.

I'll have some oranges and roses.

what they need is a pie revolution. throw some pies at Yushenko and he'll get his ugly face back into whatever cavern he crawled from.

    Cool

The diffierence between Yanukovych and Yushenko is huge like difference between East and West Ukraine. I think that nomination is risky but is smart, briliant political move. It should, I hope, stabilize situation in Ukraine for long time...

Yushenko and Yanukovych are from the same country and represent the same nation, deeply divided but with a chance to be united

Hardly a brilliant political decision on Yushchenko part as the nomination was shoved down his throat and 2 weeks had to pass and down to the last hour for him to make that decision.

The alternative was to disband the parlament and call for new elections which would have produced more vote for the Yanukovich camp as the people in Ukraine can see that the Pro-Western parties can't deliver on their promises.

After the euforia of the Orange Revolution the west thought the only thing holding back Ukraine was Russian interference where in fact it is pathetic leaders high on promises and not good on delivery.

If Ukraine was supposed to be an example of democracy then it is an example of failure.

Yanukovich represents the majority of industrial areas in Ukraine. That's why he holds the real power. UShenko represents the other half who thought they could keep on taking advantage of other regions, and, at same time, dictate what should be done for the rest of country. Without the approval of government, UShenko tried to build US bases in regions that support Yanukovich. In the end, he tried to do many things neglecting other peoples' opinions. So we have Party of Regions winning parliament elections, and its leader nominated for Prime minister. It couldn't be the other way, simple as that. UShenko wanted democracy, and he got it.
