Its not a photoshop that picture is from a test that the germans were carring
out to see how effective the compination was and if I remember correctly it gave poor results.I seen several collectors who have the gun and the scope.

Optical scopes on assault rifles were not common during the fifties or sixties so I find it strange that they would have been around in the fourties.

AFAIK thats the modification MP43/1 with ZF-4 scope. (It was also possibly to shoot grenades with a attachment.)
It was also possible to mount the Night-Vision-Sight "Vampir" on it.
