There are now competition going on for Army's tender of Rapid Mobility Vehicle for which 4 vehicles are in the fray. 2 versions of Axe, LSV from TATA and VETRA from OFB. This competition is for the whole army but AXE is certain to be picked for the special forces.

Zittara is the Indian version of the IMI Micro TAVOR which is to be produced under licence by OFB to replace Sten guns. Basic difference between Zittara and normal TAVOR is that Zittara can fire both 5.56mm and 9mm bullets with a few modifications while normal TAVOR can fire only 5.56mm bullets. I have posted pics of them on the previous page and I will be posting pics of AXE in a few days.
