Marshal of the IAF is a honorary title, a 5-star rank, equivalent to Field Marshal. Marshal Arjan Singh is the only IAF officer to date to hold that rank. He retired from active service in 1969 (he is 91 now).
Chief of IAF is Air Chief Marshal, a 4-star officer.
