That continues to be refuted in Russian sources, so I would not be so sure.

That was the proposed Denel 155mm howitzer on an Arjun Chasis ... the deal for the Denel gun was scrapped following kickback allegations

    aha found it !

Prototype of the Bhim SPG --> South African LIW/Denel self-propelled T6 155mmm/52-calibre gun mounted on the Arjun tank chassis. Successful user trials were conducted by the Indian Army in the summers of 1998 and 1999, with the Army reportedly favouring the Bhim SPG over other systems evaluated.

The Bhim SPG has a high power-to-weight ratio (24.8 HP/tonne), hydro pneumatic suspension and a large onboard ammunition supply of 50 rounds. The vehicle has a combat weight of 56.4 tons, a sustained rate of fire of three rounds a minute (8 rounds/min under intense fire mode or a burst of 3 rounds in 20 seconds) and a maximum range of 52.5 km using a VLAP/M53 charge. Five crew members are carried.

Stinger MANPADS were captured from the Kargil area and still the Pakistani govt denied their armies presence in the war!

i think at that time the term "non-state actors" was still not discovered!

This is the HMS of the upgraded Mi-35
Tu-142 Belonging to the Indian Navy
Glass cockpit of the newly inducted Embraer Legacy 135BJ VIP aircraft. These advanced aircaft were formally inducted into IAF and BSF Air Wing on 20 Sep 2005

A pilot of the No.47 Sqn Black Archers photographed with an early version of the Helmet Mounted Sight (HMS). The off boresight capability was a unique feature of the MiG-29 in the entire subcontinent, before the arrival of the Su-30. Since then MiG-21 (Bison) and even the Mirage-2000 has been equipped with a HMS. Soon the Indian Navy Harriers will be upgraded with s similar system.
