    Coriolanus
Ralph Fiennes adaption of Shakespeare's work of the same name, but set in the 21st century. It has him, Fiennes, as Coriolanus and Gerard Butler as Tullus Aufidius.

As stunning this movie is and as great as the casts' perfomances are - the discrepancy between modern impressions and Shakespearean language is too distracting to make the movie thoroughly enjoyable. 5.99/10

J, Edgar Hoover. 8/10. Interesting character study, reminded me a bit of The Aviator.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox. 7/10. Famous Roald Dahl book brought to life, pretty quirky and entertaining.

At first I thought the Shakespearean language in that modern setting seemed a little off, but as the movie went along I started to really enjoy it. *shrugs*

    9/10 for me.

    Arctic Blast - 0.3/10

Just something I saw on the TV, thought I'd give it a go. This film is about the dawn of a new ice age caused by a solar eclipse......riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. This piece of sh*t was made by individuals who have never experienced weather temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius. When it's cold outside, you can see your breath (how this can be overlooked is beyond rational thought). There are other idiotic elements in this recipe for disaster which I will refrain from disclosing for the benefit of those who enjoy bad films.

    Highly recommended.

Detective Dee & Mystery of Phantom Flame - 7/10

I saw it on Netflix instant and thought I'd give it a try. The movie is based in 7th century China and is about events leading up to the Empresses' coronation, so it's an action/mystery movie. It was a fun movie to watch, well written and had good visual effects.

Battleship. I just don't know. Visuals and alien tech were cool. But both the navy and aliens acted like morons.
First aliens randomly lose one of their ships to a random satelite. Okay. Great space travelers in **** spaceships. Ships can travel in space, enter the atmosphere, "survive" the descent and the impact in the ocean, but hit a satelite and fail?
Second they play turn-base with 3 destroyers. Dear god that scene pissed me off. Should we fight like together? Atleast shoot our aa guns to help that ship? Not our turn / run out of ap points.
Third the alien dream/vision. What was that? Are they getting invaded? Will we get destroyed? What was the point.
Aliens acting kindy strange. Sure don't murder civilians, maybe need them for later etc. But not wiping the military assets?
I understand the battleships old crew and the the guy beating the alien. Sure inspiration and human stuborness etc. But what the hell.
Why do retarded people fight retarded aliens?

You are over analyzing a movie with Rihanna in it, IMHO.

    etc.

They can have pittbull, rihanna, britney spears etc in it i don't care, but make it so that people and aliens act rationally. Again if a ship can travel in space for blahblah light years, descent, impact water surfice and be okay, i'm sure it can withstand a collision with a satelite. But okay the water is wet and satellite is made out of metaly thingies.

    Wrath of the Titans.

6/10 Not so bad, just decent. Not great but not as bad as Clash of the Titans. The mythical creatures were nice, I would have liked to see more of them though.

It's probably just me. I never got used to modernistic interpretations of old plays anyway.

Green Lantern. I got it for free and it was worth every penny. Actually it wasn't so bad, it was a serviceable, if heavily cliched, origin story. The third act was pretty cool but could have been longer.

What to Expect When You're Expecting. I would never have paid to see this movie in a cinema, but I had some time to kill before a flight and this was what happened to be on at the right time. It had some funny moments, the dad's group in particular. It might be a good date night movie. You know, if all the good movies were sold out.

The book has a far less happy ending.

    x2

Prometheus in 3D, yesterday actually. Not a disappointment... but still. 8/10 sounds right.
Not a fan of 3D movies btw. Hope the trend ends soon.
