    Attack the Block - I thought it was awesome. It felt original, which is a nice change of pace.

    Dark Knight Rises

    7/10

    The previous one set a high expectation for the franchise, it was entertaining but falls far short from when compared to the previous one. I find that they toned it down a bit in terms of violence and actions.

    Dark Knight Rises - 5/10

    Melancholic. I'm hardly a Batman fanboy, didn't expect much going to the cinema but I certainly didn't expect Nolan to change the format from action movie into drama! I've read somewhere about how supposedly Hollywood has a formula where an action movie has to put in an action scene every 20 minutes or so to prevent the audience from sleeping, and I found that idea to be reasonable. Now Nolan decided that he won't follow that, so what we have is 1.5 hour of non-stop drama smack dab in the middle of the nearly 3 hour movie. The worst part of the movie by far is how Nolan decided to turn it into a lecture instead of an entertainment.

    For those who are about to watch it, this is closer to Batman Begins than The Dark Knight, only the storytelling part is much longer. You also get more characters but not enough character development to truly feel them.

    MAJOR SPOILER: Catwoman is a lesbian (at least initially).

    I couldn't have been happier. Minus 0.5 pts for the fact that it ended, and I have to wait for more ;_;

    Don't you worry mate, it's a great flick. Except for the terrible music.
